Located on the banks of the River Guadalquivir in the Andalusia area of Southern Spain, Seville is a fascinating city and renowned throughout Spain and the rest of Europe.
During the month of April Seville hosts the Feria de Abril. This festival consists of a week long party where enjoyment is the main goal and is achieved through those simple pleasures of eating, drinking and dancing. As well as being a time for fun the festival is also a great opportunity to learn about Seville’s culture and traditions.
The week that follows the Feria de Abril is called Semana Santa, or Holy Week. The week is made up of many symbolic and religious processions. The peak travel time for Seville is from March to April so if you plan to travel at this time make sure you get a good deal on both your flights and hotel.
There are a number of other great places to visit all year round in Seville:

1. Catedral de Sevilla (Cathedral of Seville) – An interesting antiquated cathedral, intriguing for historical, architectural and artistic reasons.
2. Alcazar (Mudejar Royal Palace) – Contains the most beautiful gardens in Seville and possibly the whole Andalusia region.
3. Casa de Pilatos (House of Pilate) - Built during the 16th Century, Casa de Pilatos combines different styles, including gothic and renaissance, in a unique way.
4. The Puente de Triana (Triana Bridge) – Located on the Guadalquivir River the bridge will be of interest because of its construction and where it leads; to the town of Triana, an antiquated neighbourhood with traditional narrow streets.
